SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Petrochemical giant Saudi Basic Industries Corp (SABIC) said on Tuesday it has boosted its presence in ?xml:namespace>
“We are not new to this market … and have serviced customers here for over a decade,” said Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan Al-Saud, the chairman of SABIC, in a statement.
“We are confident that … we will see increasing use of our products by local businesses,” he added.
The new office - inaugurated on Monday - would complement SABIC’s existing storage and distribution centre in
“The Cape Town office launch is a logical step forward for SABIC and ideally positions us to take the sales of chemicals, polymers and fertilizers to a whole new level in the [Sub-Saharan] region,” said SABIC vice chairman and CEO Mohamed Al-Mady in a statement.
