Russia reports higher January-August fertilizer, plastics output

MOSCOW (ICIS)--Russia's mineral fertilizers production in January-August 2010 was up by 26.2% year on year at 11.9m tonnes, the Russian statistical agency, Rosstat, said on Friday.

Ammonia output was up by 3.7% at 8.7m tonnes, the agency said.

The country's total plastics and synthetic resins production was up by 10.2% at 3.2m tonnes, while output of synthetic rubber was up by 38.6% at 874,000 tonnes, according to the agency.
