SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Lucite International (China), a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Rayon, has postponed the turnaround of its 93,000 tonne/year methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant at Caojing, China, a company source said on Friday.
Lucite had originally planned to shut the acetone cyanohydrin (ACH)-based MMA plant in early October for a three-week turnaround, the source said.
The company has not yet fixed an alternative date for the turnaround, the source said, adding that an upstream unit that produces feedstock for the MMA plant is still running.
The plant is located at the Shanghai Chemical Industrial Park.
Mitsubishi Rayon is one of the largest MMA producers in Asia.
