BCS, with sales of $889m (€641m) last year, was a distributor of a select list of basic commodities with a unique integrated distribution model that combined bulk and mini-bulk distribution with a global procurement and trading platform, Univar said.
Univar expects to complete the acquisition in the first quarter of 2011, it added without disclosing financial terms.
