SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Capro Corp, South Korea’s sole caprolactam producer, is targeting to run its 270,000 tonne/year plant in Ulsan at full capacity before the end of the month, a company source said on Tuesday.

The plant, which has three lines, is currently running at 90% of capacity after it was restarted on 16 October after a two-week maintenance shutdown, the source said.

The plant has two 60,000 tonne/year lines and a 150,000 tonne/year line.

Other key producers of caprolactam in this region are Japan’s Ube Industries, Sumitomo Chemical and Taiwan’s China Petrochemical Development Corp (CPDC).
