HOUSTON (ICIS)--US propylene inventories fell by 1.6% in the week ended 15 October despite higher operating rates at US refineries, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday.
Refinery-sourced propylene stockpiles last week stood at 2.111m bbl, down from 2.145m bbl in the week ended 8 October.
Meanwhile, US refineries last week operated at 82.5% of capacity, up from 81.9% a week earlier, the EIA said.
Non-fuel use propylene, as defined by the EIA, is intended for petrochemical manufacturing, including polymer and chemical-grade propylene.
