Russia's January-September plastics production up 10%

MOSCOW (ICIS)--Russia's January to September plastics production was 10% up year on year at 3.625m tonnes, according to a statement released by Russian statistical agency Rosstat on Friday.

Russia's total polyethylene (PE) output reached 1.191m tonnes, a rise of 13% year on year, while polypropylene (PP) production was 13% down at 485,000 tonnes, the statement said.

Total polyvinyl chloride (PVC) production was up 6% to 449,000 tonnes, while polystyrene (PS) output reached 228,000 tonnes, a rise of 14%, according to Rosstat.
