LONDON (ICIS)--Reliance Industries has issued a sulphur export sales tender that closes on 28 October, market sources said on Tuesday.
Reliance Industries is offering 20,000 tonnes of granular sulphur for 28 November-4 December shipment from Sikka, with bids requested to remain valid until 29 October, according to sources.
Reliance last exported sulphur under its 5 July tender, which was awarded at around $63/tonne (€45/tonne) FOB (free on board).
Since then, sulphur prices in India have increased as a result of good downstream demand due to the sugar season as well as rising global spot prices supported by improving market sentiment.
Current offers in India have been reported at $200-205/tonne CFR (cost and freight), in line with Abu Dhabi National Oil Co’s (Adnoc) October sulphur-lifting price of $170/tonne FOB (free on board), which was announced earlier this month.
