HOUSTON (ICIS)--India’s Cormandel International Limited (CIL) has signed a new five-year agreement with Canpotex for the supply of up to 3m tonnes of Saskatchewan potash, the Canadian potash marketing agency said on Thursday.
The multi-year agreement between Canpotex and CIL covers the period 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2016. Canpotex will supply a minimum of 500,000 tonnes annually.
Canpotex is an offshore marketing company owned by PotashCorp, Mosaic and Agrium. Agrium supplies Canpotex with 9.28% of its potash product, Mosaic 37.11% and PotashCorp 53.61%
Earlier in October, Canpotex signed a three-year potash supply agreement with China.
