SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore plans to shut its 650,000 tonne/year No 2 naphtha cracker in Ayer Merbau for turnaround in late July 2011, said a source close to the company on Friday.

The scheduled maintenance shutdown was expected to last around a month, the source said.

PCS operates another 450,000 tonne/year No 1 naphtha cracker at the same site, which is not slated for any maintenance next year, the source added.
