MOVES: Methanex CEO Aitken joins board of biofuels firm Enerkem

TORONTO (ICIS)--Methanex CEO Bruce Aitken has joined the board of directors of Canadian waste-to-biofuels and chemical company Enerkem, the latter said on Wednesday.

"As the CEO of the world's largest supplier of methanol, Bruce will bring to Enerkem invaluable managerial experience as well as a strong industrial experience and knowledge of the chemicals market," said Enerkem CEO Vincent Chornet.

Montreal-based Enerkem has a pilot plant and a commercial demonstration plant in Quebec. It is also developing waste-to-biofuels plants in Alberta and Mississippi.
