SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand's Bangkok Synthetics Co (BST) will take off line its methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) plant of 55,000 tonne/year on 23 November, a source close to the company said on Thursday.

The turnaround would last until 10 December, he added.

Strong demand for the octane booster and robust crude futures beefed up Asia MTBE prices to $880/tonne (€642/tonne) FOB (free on board) Singapore, traders said.
