Tasweeq sells 1.2m tonnes of naphthaSINGAPORE (ICIS)--Qatar International Petroleum Marketing (Tasweeq) has sold by tender 1.2m tonnes of naphtha for loading from Ras Laffan next year, traders said on Friday.

The cargoes, for loading from January to December, fetched a premium of just above $17/tonne (€12.4/tonne) to Middle East quotes FOB (free on board), they added.

“The term price is fixed for the first quarter and they (Tasweeq) will renegotiate the price every three months,” one trader said.

Asian naphtha crack spread soared to $163.45/tonne against Brent crude futures on Thursday, the strongest since 4 March, ICIS data showed.

Naphtha demand was robust, supported by spot buying from Taiwan and China, traders said.
