HOUSTON (ICIS)--US December maleic anhydride (MA) contracts were confirmed at a rollover of 76.20-82.20 cents/lb ($1,680-1,812/tonne, €1,260-1,359/tonne) from November, market participants said on Wednesday.
The rollovers came amid a lack of producer price initiatives for December and a seasonal lull in downstream unsaturated polyester resins (UPR), producers and consumers said.
The settlements were the sixth consecutive monthly rollover in MA contracts.
Despite the rollover, one major producer has already said there was a chance it would increase contract prices by 1 January, citing high feedstock butane prices.
Major US MA producers include Huntsman, Lanxess, Marathon, Flint Hills and Bartek.
