Thai MMA shuts Mab Ta Phut unit for 15 days

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thai MMA has shut down its 90,000 tonne/year methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant for maintenance and would restart it on 7 December, a company source said on Friday.

The 15-day turnaround period would incorporate plant repairs, the source said. 

The plant, located at Mab Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Thailand’s Rayong province, was taken off line on 22 November, the source added.

Thai MMA is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Rayon of Japan and Siam Cement Group of Thailand.
