US Q3 ethylene production up 6% year on year – NPRA

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US third-quarter ethylene production rose by 6% year on year, the National Petrochemical & Refiners Association (NPRA) said on Monday.

US ethylene output in the third quarter was also up by 6% compared with the second quarter of 2010, at 13.83bn lb from 13.07bn lb, the group said.

Ethylene inventories in the third quarter were at 674m lb, rising by 12% from the second quarter, while surging by 34% from 504m lb one year earlier.

NPRA's quarterly data for ethylene is based on voluntary reports.
