MOSCOW (ICIS)--Uzkimesanoat saw a rise in sales and fertilizer output in the first nine months of 2010 compared with the same period in 2009, the Uzbekistan state-run chemical holding company said on Tuesday.
Between January and September 2010, total sales from chemical plants controlled by Uzkimesanoat reached som (Som) 716bn ($435m, €335m), a rise of 4.5% year on year, the company said.

Uzkimesanoat has announced 30 projects worth about Som494bn to modernise its production facilities, including the upgrade of ammonia and urea units at Ammofos (Armalyk), Ferganaazot and Navoiazot.
From January-September 2010, Uzkimesanoat invested Som29.5bn in modernisation and upgrade projects, the company said.
