LONDON (ICIS)--The first European December styrene barge contract has been settled at €1,085/tonne ($1,409/tonne), up €38/tonne from November, the buyer and seller confirmed on Wednesday.
According to the buyer, the rise in raw materials for December justified an increase of around €30/tonne, but current spot values and a contango for January holding firm drove the price higher.
The price was agreed on a free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE) basis.?xml:namespace>
