HOUSTON (ICIS)--US fuel ethanol inventories rose by 2.4% in week ended 26 November despite a continued drop in daily production of the biofuel, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday.
Ethanol stocks last week were at 17.1m bbl (718m gal) while daily production fell by 0.7% to 885,000 bbl/day, the government said.
The drop in production was the second in as many weeks, but daily ethanol output in November averaged 887,000 bbl (1.12bn gal), up by 1.6% from 873,000 bbl/day in October.
