SHANGHAI (ICIS)--Praxair China said on Monday it will supply on-site industrial gases to Beijing Jin Jing Solar Materials company’s Low-Emissivity (Low-E) oxy-fuel float glass production lines under a long-term contract.

Praxair China will build one air separation unit, two vacuum pressure swing absorption plants and one steam methane reforming plant to meet the oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen demands of Beijing Jin Jing’s lines, according to a company statement.

These gases will help the lines achieve greater energy savings in natural gas and reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

The Praxair units were expected to start up in the first quarter of 2012, the statement said.

No financial terms were disclosed in the statement.

Beijing Jin Jing is a subsidiary of the Jin Jing Group.

The group is a leading manufacturer of glass in China and its main products include Low-E coated energy-saving glass, automotive glass and architectural glass.
