Chevron Phillips restarts Texas cracker after maintenance

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Chevron Phillips Chemical has restarted its Cedar Bayou cracker in Texas after two weeks of planned maintenance, market sources said on Wednesday.

The 803,000 tonne/year unit was taken off line on 30 November, according to a public filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

Chevron Phillips does not comment on its operations, according to a company spokesperson.

US ethylene for December traded on Tuesday at 44.875 cents/lb ($989/tonne, €742/tonne), down from 45.000 cents/lb the previous day.
