LONDON (ICIS)--Odfjell has entered into an agreement with South Korea's SLS Shipbuilding to buy two coated 44,000 deadweight tonne (dwt) parcel tankers for around $42m (€32m), the Norwegian shipping company said on Thursday.
The vessels are scheduled for delivery in February and April 2011.
Odfjell added that, together with its partner National Chemical Carriers Ltd (NCC) of ?xml:namespace>
The company said NCC would acquire from SLS two coated 45,000 dwt parcel tankers with a cargo capacity of 54,400 cubic metres, comprising 22 zinc/epoxy coated tanks and 20 full segregations.
“We have obtained long-term bank financing of the vessels,” said Odfjell.
