China’s Jiangshan Chemical to shut DMF unit for maintenance

GUANGZHOU (ICIS)--China’s Jiangshan Chemical Co plans to shut down its production facilities at Jiangshan city of the eastern province of Zhejiang from 5 January for scheduled maintenance, the company said on Tuesday.

The turnaround would last approximately 25 days, according to the company’s statement to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Its production facilities mainly consist of an 180,000 tonne/year dimethyl formamide (DMF) line, a 40,000 tonne/year dimethyl acetamide (DMAC) unit and a 10,000 tonne/year epoxy resins plant, according to a company source.

Jiangshan Chemical Co would sell inventories during the shutdown period, the source said.

“Our maintenance wouldn’t pose much impact on markets as stocks are ample now,” he added.
