Taiwan CPC buys 30,000 tonnes naphtha for H2 Feb

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s CPC Corp has bought by tender 30,000 tonnes of naphtha for delivery into Kaohsiung in the second half of February, a company source said on Wednesday.
The cargo fetched a premium of $9-10/tonne (€7.5/tonne) to Japan quotes CFR (cost and freight), he added.
The company’s three naphtha crackers were operating at 90-95%.
CPC runs two crackers in Kaohsiung, namely the No 3 cracker which can produce 230,000 tonnes/year of ethylene, and the No 5 cracker with a nameplate ethylene capacity of 500,000 tonnes/year.
The company also operates a No 4 cracker in Linyuan with a nameplate capacity of 385,000 tonnes/year.
