HOUSTON (ICIS)--US fuel ethanol inventories held steady in the last week of December while daily production fell slightly, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday.
Ethanol stocks stood at 16.86m bbl (708m gal) in the week ended 31 December, up by 0.1% from 16.84m bbl the previous week.
Meanwhile, daily production fell by 1% to 904,000 bbl/day, the government said.
For the month of December, daily ethanol output averaged 920,000 bbl/day, up by 3.7% from 887,000 bbl/day in November, according to EIA data.
