LONDON (ICIS)--The European January styrene customer reference price (CRP) has been agreed at €1,210/tonne ($1,592/tonne), up €130/tonne from the previous month, a producer said on Thursday.

The CRP was settled on a free carrier (FCA) Rotterdam basis.

The increase was widely expected, and in line with January barge settlements heard earlier this week. Despite a €149/tonne hike in the January benzene contract, upward movement for styrene was tempered by some ongoing length in the market.

Confirmation from other parties was pending.
