SHANGHAI (ICIS)--China’s exports in December grew 17.9% year on year to $154.15bn (€120.24bn), while imports jumped 25.6% to $141.07bn, China Customs said on Monday.
Total foreign trade in December also rose 21.4% to $295.22bn compared with a year earlier, the data released by China Customs said.
For the full year the country's total exports in 2010 climbed 31.3% year on year to $1,577.93bn and imports soared 38.7% to $1,394.83bn, China Customs said.
Foreign trade amounted to $2,972.76bn in 2010, up 34.7% from a year ago, while trade surplus fell 6.4% year on year to $183.1bn, according to the data.
