Praxair to build Brazil plant to supply ArcelorMittal with oxygen

TORONTO (ICIS)--Praxair will build an industrial gases plant in ?xml:namespace>Brazil to supply international steel major ArcelorMittal with oxygen, the US-based firm said on Tuesday.
Praxair said the 780 tonne/day plant in Joao Monlevade in southeastern Brazil would be built by its Brazilian subsidiary, White Martins.
The plant was expected to start up in early 2013, Praxair said. It did not disclose financial details.
White Martins has been supplying ArcelorMittal at different locations in Brazil for 20 years, Praxair added.
