Russia's Samaraorgsintez increases output, sales in 2010

MOSCOW (ICIS)--Samaraorgsintez increased its output and sales in 2010 compared with the previous year, the Russian acetone and phenol producer said on Wednesday.

The company's acetone output rose 16% year on year to 34,000 tonnes in 2010, while its phenol production increased by 55% to 55,000 tonnes.

Annual sales were up 79% to roubles (Rb) 3.6bn ($120m, €90m), the company said.

Samaraorgsintez, based in the Samara region of central Russia, is the country's leading producer of acetone and phenol.
