BASF appoints IMCD Group as Europe polyalcohols distributor

LONDON (ICIS)--Major chemicals producer BASF has appointed IMCD Group as the distributor of its polyalcohol product range, the Netherlands-based distribution business said on Monday.

The distributor would be responsible for servicing small and medium-sized customers within the European market, IMCD added.

"We will take care of the commercial relationship, technical support and logistics," said Dirk Bark, IMCD's product manager polyalcohols for Europe.

Polyalcohols are widely used as building blocks for resins in paints, coatings and adhesives, IMCD said.
