Ukraine’s total urea output falls 3.8% in 2010

MOSCOW (ICIS)--Total urea production in Ukraine in 2010 amounted to 3.05m tonnes, down 3.8% year on year, figures from the country’s statistics office showed on Tuesday.

Azot Cherkassy produced 637,000 tonnes of urea, down 3.8% compared with 2009; Azot Severodonetsk produced 406,000 tonnes, down 0.3%; and Stirol’s urea production fell 33% to 376,000 tonnes.

DneproAzot produced 700,000 tonnes of urea, up 0.7%; and Odessa Port Plant’s output totalled 933,000 tonnes, up 10%.

In 2009, Ukraine produced a total of 3.17m tonnes of urea, down 9% year on year.
