TORONTO (ICIS)--DuPont has chosen Jim Collins to lead the integration with Danisco, the US-based chemicals major said on Tuesday.

DuPont announced the $6.3bn (€4.6bn) deal to acquire Danish food ingredients and enzymes firm Danisco on 10 January, and last week began its public tender offer to buy all outstanding Danisco shares.

DuPont CEO Ellen Kullman said during the company's fourth-quarter results conference call that Collins, a former head of crop protection, led a number of integrations, including the acquisition of Pioneer, which DuPont acquired in 1999.
