SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand’s Siam Cement plans to restart its 400,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Mab Ta Phut, Rayong province, by 31 January after shutting it earlier this week due to mechanical issues, a company source said on Thursday.

"We aim to restart the plant before February,” the source said but gave no other details. The plant was taken off line on 24 January.

Siam Cement is an active PP exporter and its key markets include China and southeast Asia.
