LONDON (ICIS)--Qatar Fertilizer Co (QAFCO) plans to shut down its No 2 ammonia/urea plant at Mesaieed for three to four weeks of maintenance in March, a company source said on Wednesday.
The source did not provide specific dates for the maintenance work.
QAFCO expects that around 500 tonnes/day of ammonia for export will be lost during the shutdown, the source added.
The plant has a nameplate capacity of 900 tonnes/day of ammonia and 1,000 tonnes/day of urea.
