SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Lucite International (China), a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Rayon, has postponed for the second time a turnaround of its 93,000 tonne/year methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant at Caojing, China, a company source said on Thursday.

The three-week turnaround was now scheduled for the middle of July.

Lucite had originally planned to shut the acetone cyanohydrin-based MMA plant in October last year and later rescheduled it for the second quarter of this year, the source said.

"The reason [why we want] to change the dates is to coordinate [production] with our raw material suppliers," he said.

The plant is located at the Shanghai Chemical Industrial Park.
