US 2010 TDI exports up 22% from 2009 - ITC

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US mixtures of 2,4- and 2,6-toluene di-isocyanates (TDI) exports for 2010 were up 22% from 2009, according to data released by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on Friday.

US 2010 TDI exports rose by 22% to 185,334 tonnes from 151,889 tonnes in 2009.

Exports rose last year as a result of strong demand from Europe, market sources said.

Exports in December rose 13% to 15,623 tonnes from 13,770 tonnes in December 2009, the ITC said.

December exports also rose by 36% from 11,463 tonnes in November 2010.

The biggest importers of US TDI were Belgium, Mexico, Canada and Brazil.
