HOUSTON (ICIS)--US petrochemical producer Westlake has made two executive appointments in its polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe and vinyl division, the company said on Tuesday.
Both appointees are current Westlake company executives.
Mike Mattina was promoted to vice president and general manager of North American Pipe, a Westlake unit that is the second-largest PVC pipe manufacturer by volume in North America.
Most recently, Mattina was vice president of Westlake’s polyethylene (PE) business. He has been with the company for nine years.
Mattina replaces Mike Powell, who was appointed as vice president and general manager of another Westlake unit, Westech Building Products.
Westech Building Products is one of the largest US manufacturers of PVC fence components by volume, and a leading producer of PVC, windows, decking and door profiles.
Other major US PVC producers include Formosa Plastics, Georgia Gulf and Shintech.
