The agreement reached between Myriant and Davy covers the non-exclusive testing and approval of Massachusetts-based Myriant's succinic acid as a feedstock to Davy's production process, the companies said in a joint statement.
The agreement also covers the integration of Myriant’s bio-succinic acid technology with Davy’s butanediol technology to minimise the cost of recovery and purification of the succinic acid for the production of bio-butanediol.
