LONDON (ICIS)--Neste Oil’s Group III joint-venture base oils plant with Bahrain Petroleum Co (Bapco) is expected to come on stream in the autumn of 2011, a Neste Oil official said on Thursday.

Lehmus was speaking at the 15th ICIS World Base Oils & Lubricants Conference in
Neste Oil already produces Group III base oils at its 250,000 tonne/year plant in
Lehmus said that with demand for Group III base oils growing at 10% per year, there was a need to increase capacity to ensure global availability.
Group III base oils are used to manufacture top-tier engine oils and lubricants.
