SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand’s PTT Chemical will shut its 400,000 tonne/year linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant at Mab Ta Phut in Rayong province this weekend because of technical problems, a company source said on Friday.
“The exact shutdown duration is not decided yet, but we hope to restart the plant next weekend,” he said.
PTT Chemical's plant shutdown was unlikely to affect regional LLDPE supply as it was only for a short duration, regional traders said.
