HOUSTON (ICIS)--INEOS Nitriles will restart its Green Lake, Texas, acrylonitrile (ACN) plant in the next few days, a source close to the company said on Monday.

The 545,000 tonne/year facility was taken down for planned maintenance on 1 February and was scheduled to restart on 1 March.

However, colder-than-normal temperatures during the turnaround have caused minor delays, the source said.

INEOS still expects to have the facility running by the end of the first week of March.

Attempts to reach a company spokesperson were unsuccessful.
