S Korea's Kumho runs new 120,000 tonne/year BR plant at 100%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Kumho Petrochemical Co (KKPC) has started commercial production at its new 120,000 tonne/year butadiene rubber (BR) plant in Yeosu, a company source said on Wednesday.

“Everything has gone smoothly since the new plant started test trials last month. It is now running at full rates,” the source added.

KKPC is Asia’s largest butadiene rubber (BR) producer.

The company also runs another 222,000 tonne/year BR plant at Yeosu in South Korea.
