China's Lanzhou PC to shut down NBR lines for maintenance

SHANGHAI (ICIS)--China’s Lanzhou Petrochemical, a subsidiary of PetroChina, plans to shut down its acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) plants from mid-March for regular maintenance, a source close to the company said on Tuesday.

The company will shut down its 15,000 tonne/year NBR plant in the second half of March, and the other 50,000 tonne/year NBR plant from early April to early May for the annual maintenance, the source added.

“The supply for the market of course will be reduced during the maintenance period, but we are not very sure about the volume...,” the source said in Mandarin.

The two plants are located in the northwestern province of Gansu.
