SHANGHAI (ICIS)--China's polyester giant Tongkun Group has achieved on-spec production at its 200,000 tonne/year polyester line at Jiaxing in Zhejiang province after restarting it on 8 March, a company source said on Wednesday.
The line was shut for annual maintenance on 10 February.
The producer is currently operating the line at around 95% capacity, the source added.
The Tongkun Group has eight production lines with a total yarn capacity of 1.6m tonnes/year, according to ICIS data.
The company’s seven other polyester lines, which are located at the same site, are running at full rate, the source said.
