HOUSTON (ICIS)--Petrologistics said on Wednesday its propylene plant in Texas would remain off line for the rest of the week following an outage on Sunday.
The 544,000 tonne/year unit in Houston was taken down for equipment repairs, a market source said.
Petrologistics did not provide details on the reason for the outage, but the company confirmed it expected the shutdown to last one week.
The plant produces chemical-grade (CGP) and polymer-grade propylene (PGP) through propane dehydrogenation (PDH), and is the only facility of its kind in the US.
