HOUSTON (ICIS)--Braskem’s caustic soda operations in ?xml:namespace>
Operations were running at 80% capacity as of last week, according to a company source, because of the power blackout of early February.
Braskem imported caustic soda to make up for lost production, and expects inventories to return to balance in the coming weeks, the source said.
Market sources previously said caustic soda supply and demand were expected to be in delicate balance by April.
