JAPAN DISASTER: JX Nippon Oil eyes Kawasaki cracker restart in March

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--JX Nippon Oil and Energy plans to restart its 460,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker in Kawasaki this month if all goes well, a company source said on Friday.

The cracker was taken off line in the aftermath of the 11 March earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

The source declined to provide further details although traders said the cracker was expected to resume operations on 27 March.
