SHANGHAI (ICIS)--China’s Ningxia Petrochemical Company, a subsidiary of PetroChina, plans to build a 450,000 tonne/year synthetic ammonia plant and an 800,000 tonne/year urea plant in Ningxia, a source from the company said on Monday.
The actual date for the construction has not been confirmed.
“We have not started construction and have only started the paper work,” the company source said.
“We are expecting that construction can be started later this year because it needs more time for preparation as it is the largest fertilizer project in the country,” the source said in Mandarin.
The two plants will be located at Yinchuan city in Ningxia in northwestern China.
