HOUSTON (ICIS)--INEOS Nitriles restarted its acrylonitrile (ACN) plant in Green Lake, Texas, on Monday, sources said.
The plant, which has 545,000 tonnes/year of ACN capacity, was shut down for maintenance on 3 February.
The plant was expected to come back on line at the start of March, but difficulties caused by freezing temperatures in Texas during the turnaround prolonged the maintenance.
An INEOS spokesman said the company does not comment on production issues.
Currently, ACN out of the US Gulf is assessed by ICIS at $2,600-2,650/tonne (€1,820-1,855/tonne) FOB (free on board).
