US ethanol stocks, daily production show minor gains - EIA

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US fuel ethanol inventories rose slightly in the third week of March along with an increase in daily production, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday.

Ethanol stocks stood at 20.05m bbl in the week ended 18 March, up by 0.8% from 19.90m a week earlier, the EIA said.

US production of the biofuel averaged 913,000 bbl/day last week, up by 2% from 895,000 bbl/day a week earlier, according to government data.

US ethanol output in February averaged 891,000 bbd/day, down by 1.9% from 908,000 bbl/day in January.
